Anna Schübel (*1993, Munich) works between Munich and Berlin. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich, the University of Music and Theatre Munich, the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
Her diploma project The World Softly Lulls received the Diploma Award 2024 of the Akademieverein München. From 2019 to 2022, she was part of the DAF collective, which explores collective forms of sound research. As part of the group worldings/drift, she co-organized exhibitions and sound performances in Munich. She has been awarded a residency stipend at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2026/2027) of the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts.
Her work has been shown at, among others, the ERES Foundation in Munich, the Museum Brandhorst, the Lenbachhaus Munich, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, the Staatliche Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, and Phileas Vienna.
