Three Steps In Time

Performance, site specific intervention
Dianatempel, Hofgarten Munich
2024

Three Steps in Time explores perceptions of space and temporality at the intersection of sound art and electroacoustic musical interpretation. Field recordings and biological rhythms are transformed into an immersive multichannel sound and light installation presented at the Dianatempel in Munich’s Hofgarten, accompanied by a live performance. Using geophones embedded in the ground and hydrophones placed in nearby fountains, the work transmits and processes environmental sounds in real time, merging different temporal layers through resonance and material transmission.
Concept, Composition, Performance: Anna Schübel, Performance + Cello: Clara Dietze

This project was funded by the Gerhard-Müller-Rischart Memorial Award of the Rotary Club Munich Bogenhausen, NEUE WELTEN art award
